This is a picture of a previously split dragon blood tree in our botanical gardens, note the multiple props.

I cant see the size of the tree or what happens if it falls over but I think if you really want to keep it you will have to prop it up.

The tree roots are decaying. That means roots opposite the lean acting in tension wont be doing much. Look after the tree well, mulch, organic fertiliser etc, also you may want to have Cambistat treatments made to increase decay resistance, increase fine root system and slow growth down.

I have a tree in my front yard (I don't know what kind it is so I've included some pictures) that seems to be half dead. There was a wind storm here a few days ago, and it managed to push the tree halfway over and expose the roots on the dead half of the tree. The roots on that side all seem to be dead, and there has been a mold-like substance growing on the tree for a while. I know nothing about trees at the moment, so I apologize ahead of time for that. I pulled off a piece of bark earlier today and noticed some little white bugs (about the size of a pin head, maybe smaller) running around and inside the tree. I would love to be able to shore up the tree and save it, but I'm not sure how to proceed, or if it's even possible. If anyone needs more information please let me know.
